- Verifying and ordering laboratory studies, x-rays, immunizations and other ancillary test.

- In accordance with BUMEDINST 1500.15C employees assigned to or subject to being assigned to duties providing direct patient care; either diagnostic or therapeutic must possess and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.
- Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Selectee must be immunized on an annual basis against influenza in accordance with BUMEDINST 6220.9B. As a condition of employment, a seasonal influenza vaccine is required.
