Fish Conservation Biologist Biologist R24 Salary $60,531.87 - $69,104.56 annually The ministry's new title has recently been updated to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy. An eligibility list may be established. Bring your operational expertise to this unique opportunity The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy is responsible for: leading programs that maintain and enhance the quality of the Province’s water, land and air; maintaining the relative abundance and biodiversity of the Province’s ecological systems inside and outside of protected areas; and managing the Province’s parks and recreation program delivery. The ministry consists of six divisions: Environmental Protection, Environmental Sustainability, Parks and Protected Areas, Climate Action Secretariat, Conservation Officer Service and Strategic Policy. The Ministry receives corporate financial, IT/IM and strategic human resources support from the Corporate Services organization serving the natural resource ministries. In the role of Fish Conservation Biologist, you will plan, conduct, coordinate, deliver and evaluate projects and programs that support the conservation of fish and the watersheds that sustain them. You possess the ability to draw conclusions on complex technical issues, using advanced analytical reasoning and judgement skills. You have strong written and oral communication skills, exercising professionalism, tact and diplomacy to industry clients and external agencies and management. In addition, you possess the ability to effectively liaise with other industry clients, government agencies, First Nations, the public and other diverse public interest groups.
