The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Painting Worker without more than normal supervision such as: Assisting in the interpretation of instructions of specifications to assist journeymen in performing their trade; Carrying out routine tasks of the trade; stir, thin, and mix coating materials following specific instructions; Selecting tools and deciding on standard methods and techniques to use to complete assignments; Checking surfaces after coating to see that there are no skips and touches up as needed; and Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment such as paint brushes, rollers, and spray guns.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

This position may require the ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Fork Lift, High Lift (JLG) and/or construction equipment, upon notification.
Physical Effort: The work requires considerable standing, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching and working in cramped, and works overhead in awkward positions. Frequently lifts, carries, push and pull buckets of paint weighting up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may lift items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance. Frequently climbs ladders, stands and balances body on scaffolding and reaches and stretches while painting.
Working Conditions: Works both indoors and outdoors. Often works in cramped quarters and does spray painting in confined interior areas. Frequently is subject to poor lighting and ventilating conditions, dust, dirt, fumes and noise and discomfort from paint droppings on hands, face and clothing. Works from scaffolding, ladders, and on roofs.
