These positions are located in the FLETC, Regional and International Training Directorate, Office of Cheltenham Operations (OCH), Cheltenham, Maryland. The selected individuals serve as the confidential Staff Assistants to the OCH Site Director and to the Chief of the Cheltenham Administration Division providing substantial administrative and management support duties to ensure accomplishment of the FLETC and the OCH missions.

Duties
Being a Staff Assistant makes you a valuable member of the FLETC team and mission. The selected individuals are responsible for providing administrative and management support and assistance in the areas of budget, procurement, timekeeping, travel authorizations, training requests, and personnel actions. Typical assignments include:
- Greeting and receiving visitors and telephone calls from the public sector, various officials and Federal personnel as well as maintaining the Site Director's and the Division Chief’s calendar and scheduling appointments.
- Tracking, monitoring, and verifying allocations and expenditures for travel, training, equipment, supplies, services and credit card purchases as a designated purchase card holder.
- Updating, revising, sorting, calculating, and manipulating data in spreadsheets or database applications to meet multiple report requests as well as preparing periodic and special reports for budget activity.
- Obtaining and monitoring a full-range of office support services while developing systems for the control and access to office records and files.
