This a full time Temporary position located at the Patuxent Research Refuge in Laurel, MD. Anticipated duration of appointment is 10 weeks however this position may be extended for a total of 2 years without readvertisement. This position may be terminated at any time due to lack or work, funding, or as the needs of the Service dictate.
Telework - the duties of this position are not suitable for telework.
One or more positions may be filled from this vacancy.

Duties
As a Social Services Assistant (YCC Group Leader), your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Lead youth groups in a variety of land resource improvement projects.
- Provide guidance and direction in all phases of work projects.
- Plan and assign duties to program participants.
- Provide safety training and ensure safety of group.
- Counsel program participants on personal and/or group matters.
