Duties
SU-01 Community Outreach and Promotions Team :Two (2) students will be hired by the External Relations Team at Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks field unit to perform these duties. These students will form a special Summer Outreach Events and Promotion Team that supports the year-round efforts of the External Relations Team during the busy summer season.
Students hired for this position will:
• Develop, implement and assess outreach and promotional events in the immediate communities and urban areas near Revelstoke
• Connect Canadians to the nature and history of Parks Canada places
• Work in collaboration with Parks Canada partners and on partner sites presenting educational programs
• Develop, implement and assess supporting resources and educational material for other Parks Canada educational programs
• Assist in developing social media and website content
• Act as a first point of contact for visitors to the park
• Provide quality visitor experiences to visitors to Parks Canada programs and events
• Other duties as required to support External Relations initiatives
SU-02 New Media and Promotions Team :
Two (2) students will be hired by the External Relations Team at Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks field unit to perform these duties. These students will form a special New Media and Promotions Team that implements a photograph and film project to support the year-round efforts of the External Relations Team.
Students hired for this position will:
• Connect Canadians to the nature and history of Parks Canada places
• Develop social media and website content
• Create photo and video content for website, social media and other promotional products
• Assist with outreach and promotional events in the immediate communities and urban areas near Revelstoke
• Act as a first point of contact for visitors to the park
• Provide quality visitor experiences to visitors to Parks Canada programs and events
• Other duties as required to support External Relations initiatives
