The Operations Division within the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) requires a Liquor Enforcement Clerk to provide professional administrative services to the Operational Services Branch.
• Good judgment skills in order to determine legitimacy of complaints/breaches of the Liquor Licensing Act, Gaming Control Act and Regulations.
• Strong customer service skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills with good working knowledge of Word and Excel, and the ability to become proficient in AGCO systems.
• Be eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check

What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Manager, Business Improvement and External Stakeholder Education (in Operational Services) the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry of information and assignments into AGCO computer databases. The Liquor Enforcement Clerk is also required to advise AGCO Inspectors of late or urgent requests; contact the Licensee of Record if information received is incomplete; forward documentation as required; ensure that information for placards is provided to the AGCO Inspectors; prepare other materials and packages for use by AGCO Inspectors; and perform other related duties as assigned. The position also requires the provision of courteous and timely reception to telephone/in person enquiries from internal and external sources, and the ability to probe complainants to create accurate assignments for AGCO Inspectors.How do I qualify?
