PLEASE NOTE: Living Accommodation may be provided by the Park at reasonable local rental rate. Work site is 20 minutes by vehicle from Ucluelet. A vehicle and/or own transportation is required. Students will be required to cover all travel expenses to and from the location of work.
Duties
The position will consist mainly of ''field" work, completing a variety of tasks in relation to the maintenance of assets. (Painting, mowing, cleaning etc.) This work opportunity is a great learning experience for students in the trade sector.Work environment
Parks Canada and Pacific Rim National Park Reserve (PRNPR) are seeking- Independent and highly motivated students to work as part of the asset maintenance team. The asset maintenance student will play a key role in keeping assets (trails, buildings, campgrounds, day-use areas etc.) clean and in operational order to promote great visitor experience for our anticipated many visitors to the Pacific Rim in the 2018 summer season. These positions will be based in the Long Beach Unit of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, BC about halfway between Ucluelet and Tofino.Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to hire 2 students for the summer 2018. We will only contact students who demonstrate clearly in the screening follow up questions that they possess the education and experience required for this opportunity.Positions to be filled: 2

Post-secondary students currently registered in a full-time College or University program who will be returning to full-time studies in the fall.

Reliability Status security clearance - Reliability Status security clearance is required.
Possession of a valid Class 5 Driver License
To be eligible an eligible student, you must be:
• a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution;
• currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled;
• returning to full-time studies in the next academic term;
• between the ages of 16 and 30 to be hired for a student job (Young Canada Works funded positions).
• the minimum age to work in the province where the job exists (Federal Student Work Experience positions).
Students will be asked to provide proof that they meet these requirements.
