Duties
Develops, adapts and delivers field unit public outreach education programs, products and events to increase Canadians’ understanding and appreciation, and to encourage support and engagement with respect to the natural and cultural heritage places managed by Parks Canada.As part of a team of outreach education offers and interpreters, this position primarily adapts and delivers the Waterton EcoSystem Investigator day-camp and overnight camp programs within Waterton Lakes National Park to grade five students. The programs immerse students in nature and use inquiry-based techniques to connect students with nature, develop their ecological literacy and assist them in becoming empowered to make positive changes for the environment.

Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized university or college with specialization in education, communications, natural sciences, environmental sciences, Canadian history or Canadian studies or other discipline relevant to this position, or an acceptable combination of education (minimum 3 courses), training and experience (minimum 1 year) relevant to this position. NOTE: Proof of education must be submitted with application.
Degree equivalency• Recent and significant experience in the development and delivery of public outreach education, interpretive and/or nature-based education programs to a wide range of audiences, using a variety of education or interpretation techniques.
