About the Agency

The selectee for this position will serve as a Mail Clerk for the Director of Administration Operation Management for NAVMEDCEN PORTSMOUTH VA located in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Duties

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

• Retrieves, records, and processes in-going, internal, out-going mail and correspondence that may be classified or unclassified in nature.
• Performs general administrative or clerical duties such as operating office equipment/software and distributing administrative documents to staff.
• Completes associated mail documentation and forms according to postal guideline and instructions.
• Maintains required supplies and office stock materials.
• Files documentation and correspondence according to established organizational guidelines.
• Receives and screens incoming phone calls and visitors in order to determine nature of request/reference to appropriate personnel.
