About the Position:Position is located in the Base Support Division, Roads and Grounds Branch of Sierra Army Depot. Employees work Mon- Fri on a 4/10 work schedule. Sierra Army Depot is located in the rural northeast California town of Herlong, approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV; and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. The depot serves as Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. The depot has an Army Commanding Officer with a predominately civilian work force of approximately 1400 employees. Child care facilities are available. Exchange/Commissary facilities are NOT available. Carpools and mass transportation is available from Reno/Susanville at minimal cost. Surrounding area boasts world class fishing, hunting, snow skiing; and a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities. Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens
Duties
The incumbent works in concert with the principal clerical or administrative support person of the organization to provide clerical and administrative support to the Director in the processing, and coordination control of a wide variety of transactions and documentation related to organizations at the Directorate level of the depot.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of administrative support functions to include the use of office automation software to retrieve, update and store electronic data and prepare documents and reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Ability to use Office Automation Equipment and Software
Knowledge of Personnel Support

For the GS-06 level: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a variety of administrative support functions to include the use of office automation software to retrieve, update and store electronic data and prepare documents and reports.. Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or a related field.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
Only degrees from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education are acceptable to meet positive education requirements or to substitute education for experience.
