About the Position:This is a Laborer, WG-3502-03 summer hire position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, Operations Division. The position is temporary not to exceed 09/30/2017 and may be extended without further competition.
NOTE: Salary ranges vary based on duty locations. Pay will be determined upon selection.
Who May Apply:
Duties
As a Laborer, you will perform a variety of maintenance and upkeep duties in and around the park to which you are assigned. The following are examples of duties you will be performing in order to maintain and enhance the park's resources and to provide a quality natural environmental experience for the visiting public:
- Mowing lawns using a walking, power mower
- Clearing weeds
- Clearing or pruning trees
- Moving and arranging outdoor furniture
- Raking leaves
- Emptying refuse cans
- Removing debris from public grounds
- Servicing public restrooms
You will also assist maintenance workers with maintenance and repair of things such as: boat launching ramps, restroom buildings, water supply systems, exhibits, trails, fences, firebreaks, picnic tables and benches. You will use a variety of hand tools and power tools to perform these duties.
