About the Position:   This is a developmental Hydropower Office Assistant (OA), GS-0303-05 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District, Operations Technical Support Branch, Operations Division. This vacancy will be filled at the entry level (GS-05) with promotion potential to the GS-06. The position will be located at Branson, MO

Duties


At the full performance level, you will be the expert and primary point of contact in performing the day-to-day office support duties.  You will be the principal source of information on personnel procedures, processing of various forms and documents, and the administration procedures.  You will serve as the primary timekeeper, and record coordinator, by performing such duties as maintaining, inputting, and updating, the employee's record cards, medical files, and personnel actions.  You will provide clerical support to the employees in the Hydropower Field Office in compliance with efforts associated with North American Electric Reliability (NERC) and Federal Energy Reliability Council (FERC) requirements.  These duties include:
  • Develop and implement procedures pertaining to files, procurement, and other administrative activities.
  • Prepare and review overtime requests to ensure the accuracy of hours, and justifications.
  • Establish and maintain controls for the timely accomplishment, distribution, submission, and review of correspondence, reports, and other documents.
  • Utilize a computerized maintenance management system  to provide system control, oversight, repair history, analysis, data entry, and documentation of current and future maintenance operations for the ongoing maintenance management program for the hydroelectric powerhouse, appurtenant facilities and features, natural resource management equipment, mobile operating equipment, electrical and mechanical operating equipment and machinery of the Project.
  • Maintain all property inventory accounting activities to include taking/or participating in physical inventory of durable and hand receipted and critical spare parts utilizing an automated system.
