Earlier this year, AHCA/NCAL launched a workforce campaign titled #WhyICare. The campaign broadcasts the stories of individuals who work in long term care, sharing what inspires them about their careers and how they got to where they are today.

We’re pleased to share a new video that features Eldarada Searcy, a resident care director at Sunrise of Gurnee in Illinois. After first starting out in the oncology field, Eldarada was apprehensive to stay in her assisted living position. Once she adjusted to the different pace of senior care and experienced the benefits of working in this profession, her life was forever changed.
