Social Media / District Clerk Clerk 9R Salary $40,193.18 - $45,390.43 annually This position is located in Williams Lake, BC An eligibility list may be established for future similar temporary and/or permanent vacancies A dynamic multi-faceted administrative opportunity with the Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans transportation networks, provides transportation services and infrastructure, develops and implements transportation policies, and administers many related acts and regulations as well as federal-provincial funding programs. The Ministry opens up B.C. through innovative, forward-thinking transportation strategies that move people and goods safely, and fuel our provincial economy. Improvement of vital infrastructure is a key goal, along with enhancing the competitiveness of B.C.’s transportation industries, reducing transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions and providing B.C. with a safe and reliable highway system. The Ministry's Highway Department consists of approximately 1,050 staff in 30 communities throughout BC, working every day to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operations of the highway network. The Highways Department is responsible for all aspects of the provincial highway system, including: Maintaining and Operating Highways, Highway Rehabilitation and Preservation, Highway Expansion and Upgrading, Emergency Response, Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement and Development Approvals and Permits. Under the general supervision of the District Services Manager, the Social Media / District Clerk provides a broad range of clerical, administrative and financial services to all district staff. The incumbent may be required to carry out duties in any or all areas of reception, finance, regulatory and administrative support. Your experience using social media tools will be used to keep various lines of communication open and websites up to date.
