Duties
DutiesWith guidance, student will be responsible for researching, developing and delivering captivating educational and outreach programs to a variety of audiences. Content for such programming will concentrate on Wapusk National Park and the national historic sites within Manitoba (Lower Fort Garry, The Forks, Riel House, York Factory, Prince of Wales Fort). The student will help organize and run educational activity booths/areas at local/regional events, First Nations communities and major urban venues. Successful candidates will have the skills needed to work side by side with Parks Canada partners and stakeholders in a professional and responsible manner and be a proud representative of the Government of Canada. Both the ability to work as part of a team and to work independently will be important in qualifying for this dynamic position. The primary work location is Winnipeg, and student will be responsible for their own moving, accommodation and living expenses.

Conditions of employment
All selected candidates must:
• Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status Security Clearance
• Be in possession of a valid class 5 driver’s licence
• Be able to work in inclement weather when required
• Wear a uniform as per Parks Canada Uniform Policy and prescribed protective equipment
• Work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial holidays, when required
