Duties
Provides general maintenance, repair and labour services to support grounds and facilities maintenance; construction and installations; and other general maintenance and repair requirements for Fort Langley NHS.Work environment
Fort Langley National Historic Site is seeking dedicated, positive and hard-working individuals to join our maintenance team at Fort Langley National Historic Site (NHS). The maintenance & grounds-keeping assistants’ role is to maintain the services, facilities and grounds of Fort Langley NHS for the enjoyment of our visitors.Intent of the process

Post-secondary students currently registered in a full-time College or University program who will be returning to full-time studies in the fall.
Degree equivalencyExperience in the operation and maintenance of gas powered 2 stroke and 4 stroke landscaping equipment is not required but considered an asset.

Conditions of employment
Reliability Status security clearance - Reliability Status security clearance is required.
To be eligible, you must be:
• a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution;
• currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled;
• returning to full-time studies in the next academic term;
• between the ages of 16 and 30 to be hired for a student job (Young Canada Works funded positions).
• the minimum age to work in the province where the job exists (Federal Student Work Experience positions).
Students will be asked to provide proof that they meet these requirements.
