We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic Administrative Assistant to support our Herzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Centre.
The Administrative Assistant provides general administrative support. Some of the duties of the position include: coordinating meetings (including events and seminars); making travel arrangements; preparing correspondence, reports and presentations; establishing and maintaining filing systems and responding to general enquiries.

Screening Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate within the content of their application that they meet the following screening criteria in order to be given further consideration as candidates:
Education
Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards.
Post-secondary education in administration may be considered an asset.

Experience
- Experience providing administrative support services such as arranging meetings, making travel arrangements, processing travel claims, creating and maintaining files and data entry.
- Significant* experience with MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience in drafting and proofreading memos and/or letters.
IMPORTANT
Please be sure to clearly indicate on your cover letter if you have any of the following asset qualifications:
- Experience working in a financial environment.
- Experience in providing administrative support services in a scientific research or engineering environment.
- Experience using SAP software or another similar ERP software package.

Salary Range
From $38,872 to $51,540 per annum.
