Duties
The employee performs a full range of janitorial assignments to maintain clean and safe buildings and grounds including:•Clean and maintain visitor/public buildings/facilities
•Conduct general cleaning around buildings, grounds, public-use areas such as visitor centres, campgrounds, beach areas and walkways.
•Lock and unlock buildings and gates ;
•Observe appearance and condition of premises and equipment; report needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring servicing;
•Maintain / restock inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies;
•Contribute to visitor experience by responding to general inquiries and direct visitors to sources of information and service areas.

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.Intent of the process

• Occasionally demonstrate tasks to others
• Wear a Parks Canada uniform, and abide by uniform policy.
