HR Technician - Payroll and Benefits Clerk 11R Salary $41,803.67 - $47,295.99 annually Please note: - This is a temporary opportunity until May 2018. An exciting HR career opportunity The Provincial Court of British Columbia sits at over 80 locations throughout the Province and hears criminal, family, youth, and civil claims, as well as traffic and municipal by-law matters. The Chief Judge of the Provincial Court is appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council and is responsible for assigning Judges and Judicial Justices, and designating court facilities for the hearing of cases within the jurisdiction of the court, and for providing administrative direction to Judges, Judicial Justices, and judiciary staff. The Office of the Chief Judge (OCJ) is the administrative headquarters for the Provincial Judiciary, and is based in downtown Vancouver. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (HRM), the Human Resources Technician (HRT) provides Human Resources (HR) services for payroll and benefits, including areas such as the administration and resolution of pay issues in Time and Leave (T&L) for Judiciary staff. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of human resource records and databases. Provides interpretation of specific benefits and leave policies. This position provides information relating to payroll and benefits, policy interpretation to Judges and Judicial Justices of the Provincial Court by liaising with BC Public Service Agency (PSA) representatives and the Judiciary HRM, while maintaining and supporting judicial independence.
