Intent / Result of this process: The intent of this process is to fill one (1) indeterminate position. A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, of various tenures at the Ottawa office of the OAG.

Area of selection
Open to: Persons residing in Canada and Canadian citizens residing abroad.

INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW:
You must submit a complete application, consisting of a covering letter which clearly demonstrates how you meet the screening criteria and a resume which supports the covering letter. The covering letter will be used as the primary tool in the screening process and the resume will only be used to substantiate the information provided. Your covering letter must clearly demonstrate through concrete examples how you meet each screening criterion (essential and asset education and/or experiences). One suitable approach for your covering letter is to use each individual screening criterion as a header and then, for each criterion, write one or two paragraphs demonstrating how you meet that criterion. For example, describe the kind of position(s) occupied and provide a specific description of the tasks performed for each position.
 
Job Requirements
To be invited for further assessment, candidates must meet the following requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:     College/university diploma in a relevant field (e.g. Interactive Multimedia & Design, Graphic Design) or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience in the electronic publishing industry.
Language requirements:   Bilingual imperative CCB/CCB

Experience:
  • Basic experience* working in a desktop publishing environment, processing client requests
  • Basic experience* using MS Office Suite products such as Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
  • Significant experience** using MS Word for developing and producing electronic products such as reports, forms, tables and correspondence, for internal and external distribution
  • Significant experience** using Adobe Acrobat to generate PDF files for internal and external distribution, and produce static and dynamic forms
  • Significant experience** using Dreamweaver to produce HTML according to CLF guidelines for internal and external publishing

Asset:
  • Experience using Adobe LiveCycle software
  • Expérience using RedDot Content Management System software
  • Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s Web Experience Toolkit


Note:
  • *“Basic experience” means a minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
  • **“Significant experience” means a minimum of three (3) years’ experience.
