Duties
Operates various pieces of heavy equipment as required for construction and maintenance projects and conducts highway/road/street clearing and snow removal using medium and heavy vehicles and equipment requiring a Class 3 licence with air-brake endorsement; operates/controls multiple blades and salting mechanisms; and performs ancillary road maintenance and labour services for the Parks Canada Agency.Work environment

Possession of a valid and current Class 3 Nova Scotia driver's licence, or other provincial equivalency, with air brake endorsement. Provision of a driver's abstract, which is to show a minimum five (5) year driving record that is free of at-fault traffic accidents, convictions, suspensions and revocations.
Substantial and extensive experience in the operation of commercial and heavy equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, salt trucks, and snowploughs.
