Blantyre Water Board is a government-owned institution established and reconstituted under the Water Works Act of 1995 to supply potable water to people of Blantyre City and other surrounding areas. The Board is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following vacant position tenable at Blantyre Water Board:

Laboratory Technician

Applicants must have the following attributes:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education with strong credits in English and Mathematics
• Diploma in industrial laboratory technology
• Wide knowledge of good laboratory practices
• Knowledge of use various types of laboratory instrumentation
• Minimum age 25 years
• A minimum of 3 years proven work experience in industrial laboratory.

Assistant Accountant

Applicants must have the following attributes:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education with strong credits in English and Mathematics
• ACCA Part Two
• Knowledge of computer operations in various packages.
• Minimum age 22 years
• A minimum of 2 years post qualification period
• Ability to exercise own initiative and judgement.

Faults Clerk

Applicants must have the following attributes:

• Malawi School Certificate of Education plus lCAM Certificate
• Knowledge of computer operations in various packages e.g. excel
• Minimum age 22 years
• A minimum of 1 year’s post qualification period
• Patient, polite and hardworking
• Ability to exercise own initiative and judgement.
