Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawian origin to fill the following vacant positions tenable at Nsanje District Council (HEALTH Sector) and applicants should be willing to work in various health facilities across the District and will be subjected to Malawi Public Service Regulations (MPSR).

Post : Pharmacy Assistant (2 Posts)

Grade : M/TA

Salary : Within grade M Government current salary scale segment

Responsible to : Pharmacy Technician

Location : Applicants should be willing to work in various health facilities across the district

Qualification

• Applicants should be holders of Certificate in pharmacy from reputable institutions and or its equivalent; registered with Pharmacy Medicines and Poisons Board.
• Applicants should not be more than 40 years of age.

Duties
Successful candidates will among other things perform the following:

1. Receiving medical supplies from Central Medical Stores and other suppliers.
2. Dispensing drugs to patients.
3. Issuing drugs to wards and other departments from the drug store
4. Conducting monthly physical inventory
5. Writing Logistics Management Information System reports
6. Providing information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects and dosages for and drug
7. Collaborating with other health professionals in monitoring and evaluating effectiveness drugs regimes at health center level
8. Any other duties assigned from time to time

Post : Clinical Technician ( 5 Posts)

Grade : K/TO

Salary : within the Grade K/‘TO Government salary scale segment.

Responsible to : Medical Officer (Grade H/P8)/Senior Clinical Technician

Location : Applicants should be willing to work in various health facilities across the District.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Clinical Medicine from reputable Institutions or its equivalent with all registration certificates with the Medical Council of Malawi.
• Applicants should not be more forty (40) years of age.

Duties
The successful candidates will among other duties perform the following:

1. Perform both minor and major operations on their own.
2. Ensuring case management at health institutions
3. Conduct ward rounds
4. Providing clinical instructions to the interns
5. Managing the Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
6. Conduct routine visits in the district
7. Any other duties assigned from time to time.

Post : Nurse and Midwife Technician (NMT)

Grade : K/TO

Salary : with Grade K Government current salary scale segment

Responsible to : Nursing Officer

Location : Applicants should be willing to work in various health facilities across the district and be subjected to Malawi Public Service Regulations (MPSR)

Qualification
Applicants should be holders of Diploma in Nursing from reputable Institutions or its equivalent with all registration certificates from country’s regulatory bodies including Nurses Council of Malawi.
Age: Applicants should be not more than forty (40) years of age
