About the Position:
John Day Lock and Dam Project is 216 miles upriver from the mouth of the Columbia River. The dam spans the river between Rufus, Oregon and Goldendale, Washington. Construction of the John Day Lock and Dam was completed in 1971. The authorized primary project purposes are navigation and power generation. The project consists of a navigation lock, spillway, powerhouse, and fish passage facilities. Various recreational facilities are provided along Lake Umatilla and the Columbia River to include fishing, camping, hiking, windsurfing, and other watersports.

At the full performance level, you will provide technical and procedural support to the Administrative Officer and staff of the Administrative Section of the John Day/Willow Creek Project. In this capacity, you will perform duties such as:
- Monitor identified programs or processes to determine discrepancies and problems.
- Assist the Administrative Officer with administrative functions.
- Assist with recruitment strategies for filling positions.
- Assist employees with benefits, travel, training, and Worker's Compensation issues.
- Track time and attendance for employees.
- Track statuses of employee performance appraisals.

Occasional travel - Occasional travel to project sites, conferences or training may be required.Supervisory status
