    Responsibilities

    As a Program Support Clerk for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Debt Management Center you will:
    • Perform work in a wide range of systematized supply operations at two locations.
    • Perform records functions in inventory, storage, cataloging, receipt, inspection, and control processes.
    • Oversees stock levels and establishes or adjust stock levels and reorder points.
    • Conduct physical inventories to adjust and/or maintain inventory, stock, or property account records.
    • Maintain equipment records for employees authorized for telework; when employees leave this data are key to ensuring that all equipment is returned.
    • Receive and screens requests or other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for planned programs, staff additions and work operations, and collects and assembles lists of equipment and parts needed for acquisition plans.
    • Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, commodity control, or other appropriate supply operations.
    • Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information, follows up on urgently required items to expedite delivery of material to work sites.
    • Driver -makes regular mail and supply trips to the Burger Building, St. Paul (approximately 13 miles from Debt Management Center (DMC) primary location). Also has the responsibility of vehicle reporting and maintenance, logs, GSA reporting of monthly and annual vehicle data and screening of other drivers to ensure safe operation of government vehicles.
    • Has a thorough knowledge of all printing, fax and reproduction equipment used in the DMC. Responsible for assembling monthly photocopy count data. Maintains over 30 printers/copiers/faxes; performs minor repairs and maintenance, coordinates major repairs with service technicians, ensures adequate toner and paper levels to avoid down time.

    Work Schedule: Regular office hours 08:00 AM - 04:30 PM; Alternate work schedules may be available.
