About the Position:As a Test Administrator, you will administer tests to individuals wishing to enter the military. This position is assigned to the Denver Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) and works out of Denver, CO.
This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed" basis. This position will not lead to a full-time position, and you will be paid only for the hours worked.
Personally owned vehicles must be used to travel to the testing sites.
Travel reimbursement within the commuting area is authorized for mileage using privately owned vehicle to and from testing sites.

Duties
As an Intermittent Test Administrator, you will administer the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) to determine individual qualifications for enlistment into military service and to support the Career Exploration Program at area high schools and other educational institutes.
Following established administrative practices and guidelines, you will instruct applicants on testing procedures and distribute, collect and maintain accountability of all materials while administering paper and computer based exams.
You will conduct quality control checks to ensure that all forms are properly completed and make corrections if needed.
You will prepare applicant packages and mail documents to the appropriate office for action.
You will be responsible for the overall safety and security of the testing materials to ensure proper safeguarding, storage, and use in accordance with established regulations.
This position may require long hours and extended periods of standing, walking and sitting.
This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed" basis only. Some work may be performed from your residence prior to arriving at the test site.
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service program (e.g., Peach Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of general experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. General experience is defined as: one (1) year of general clerical or office experience providing general information or instructions via email, walk-in or by phone; or reviewing forms and documents for accuracy; or maintaining files.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Test Material Controls
Knowledge of Proctoring Instructions
Skill in Student Support
Ability to Provide Admin Support
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: Education: Successful completion of at least two full years of education above the high school level in any field; for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal pre-requisite. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: Transcripts must be attached to your application package.)
OR Combination of Education and Experience: If less than 1 year of general experience and if less than 2 years of education and training above the high school level. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of undergraduate education by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100% to qualify) (Note: You must attached a copy of your transcripts.)

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position requires a personnel security background check.
You must be able to transport materials in bags weighing up to 30 lbs. each, to and from vehicle and testing facilities.
You must possess a valid State-issued driver's license to conduct testing in remote locations or at schools.
Travel is within a 200 mile radius of duty location; spending up to 100% of the time in travel or Temporary Duty (TDY) status.
