Duties
These positions are in the Environmental Management Service of the DCVA Medical Center located in Washington, DC. The medical supply aide will process and disassemble noncritical medical equipment for cleaning; sort, disassemble, clean and disinfect medical equipment such as feeding pumps, alaris pump modules, and KCI wound vacuums; document and maintain records of pumps and locations; assist to facilitate patient safety and customer satisfaction; clean wards and equipment such as patient refrigerators, dining room chairs and tables, washers and dryers or bathtubs; and other related duties as assigned.
Designated Drug-Testing Position: Applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to
urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment. Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
Applicants will not be appointed to the position if a verified positive drug test result is received,
Work Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm; 3:00pm-11:30pm; 12:00am-8:30am
