Duties

This position is located in the New Jersey Division, Newark, NJ.
The incumbent will perform the following duties:
  • Performs extensive clerical support in various areas, such as financial operations, procurement, security, personnel, etc.
  • Keeps all manuals for the Administrative Unit up-to-date by posting changes and revision.
  • Maintains monthly reports and suspense files. Prepares and submits monthly reports to the Resident offices and/or Post of Duty.
  • Types a variety of material, such as letters, memos, reports, charts; rough drafts etc.
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors for unit and when necessary supports other groups with workload and acts as back-up to receptionist. Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Serves as the time and attendance (T&A) technician by maintaining master records for new employees and inputting information into the system within the Division office. Performs T&A audits, monitors employee leave balances, answers inquiries and provides assistance to other T&A clerks.
  • Maintains the Division Case File Room and logs of records reviewed and released to authorized personnel to ensure files are removed and returned in a timely manner. Prepares files for destruction and transfer to other agencies or storage facilities.
  • Serves as primary supply technician. Establishes and maintains contact with GSA supply store, wholesalers, retailers and other commercial sources of supply and equipment. Receives and stores expendable and non-expendable property.
  • Performs specialized duties in support of procurement activities to include maintaining and tracking all procurement transactions. Serves as alternate imprest fund cashier.
