The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform the duties of a PLUMBER under normal supervision: 1) Installing, modifying, and repairing plumbing systems. (e.g., sewage, water, oil, air, and gas distribution systems, water closets, tubs, back flow prevention devices/assemblies, fire sprinkler systems, and showers); 2) Determining equipment, tools, and parts needed for plumbing repair work; and 3) Reviewing blueprints, building plans, or specifications to determine plumbing work details or procedures.

Selectee must obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
Must be able to wear personal type safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
This position may require ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Fork Lift, High Lift (JLG) and/or Construction equipment, upon notification. Should work be assigned that requires special certification or licensing to perform the work or to use specialized tools or equipment, the incumbent will be required to obtain such certification or licensing and maintain any associated qualification requirements. * For example, this position may require Back Flow, Respirator, Medical Gas, and Chlorine Process Safety certification.
Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.
Physical Effort: Work requires considerable standing, climbing, stooping, bending, stretching and working in cramped, and awkward positions. Makes repairs from ladders, scaffolding and platforms where the systems and equipment worked on, are in hard-to-reach places. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. May lift items weighting over 50 pounds with assistance.
Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
Working Conditions: Works both indoors and outdoors in all kinds of weather. Work is usually dirty, dusty and greasy. Sometimes required to make installations and repairs in areas where bad smelling fumes are present. Frequent exposure to heat conditions and noise. Subject to falls, cuts, bruises, strains, scrapes, infections, injury from improper lifting, illness. Works from scaffolding, ladders, and on roofs.
