Duties
You will serve as the Office Manager. You will receive telephone calls and visitors to the office. Ascertain the nature of the call and directs to the supervisor only those contacts needing his attention or action. Take care of routine matters, and on the basis of knowledge of program activities, procedures, and requirements, directs inquiries to appropriate personnel. Initiate calls for information pertaining to administrative and office management matters referring to superior only those determined to be of sufficient importance to warrant his awareness or approval. Arrange for meetings or conferences including selecting mutually satisfactory time, reserving meeting facilities, and notifying participants of time and place.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined experience in 1) Preparing office correspondence, ensuring proper format, grammar, and spelling; and 2) Utilizing computer applications and software to prepare spreadsheets for reports; AND 3) Researching regulations and policies to complete routine office tasks.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

EDUCATION:
Completion of one half year of graduate education (nine semester hours) this is directly related to this position such as Business Administration, Communication, Organizational Leadership or relating degrees. (Note: you must provide a copy of your transcripts for verification).

Combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience described above may be used to meet total qualification requirements at the GS-06 level.
