Duties

Provides daily direction, oversight and technical expertise for the development and execution of initiatives for Recreation and Revenue Generating programs as well as the associated management and resource support functions.
Manages functions and operations of activities. Plans and coordinates details of events to include determining specifications and quantities of goods to order, manpower, space, facilities, food, and services.
Establishes immediate and long range goals, objectives, and plans to meet customer requirements and ensures program authority and funding are accomplished to optimize efficiency of operations.
Supervises assigned staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated work experience in the following areas:

1. Interpreting and assessing program financial performance using standard financial management systems.
2. Interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statement results.
3. Working in various Child and Youth, Sports/Fitness, Recreation, and Revenue Generating programs demonstrating increasingly responsible work experience across multiple program areas.
4. Understanding of Army's Family, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) and community, family support operating programs and their interrelationships and funding channels.
5. Prior supervisory experience.

Best Qualified Criteria:
1. Possesses experience managing an MWR Business or Recreation Program
2. Possesses experience working with Federal Audio Visual and IT Departments and equipment
3. Possesses experience working with various gaming systems such as Alienware, X Box, Playstation systems, etc.

Conditions of Employment:

4. Incumbent must file a Confidential Statement of Affiliations and Financial Interest in accordance with the requirements of 5 CFR 2634.
5. Occasional travel is required.
6. Must be able to work nights and weekends.
