JOB OPPORTUNITY: LOGISTICS OFFICER

The Logistics Officer will administer the procurement, distribution, warehousing and control of inputs in accordance with the Company Finance and Procurement guidelines. The successful applicant will report to the Logistics Manager

Key responsibilities

Monitoring of Procurement & Distribution of Farm inputs.
Agronomy Stock Management
Resource Alignment, Stock Takes and Administration
Execute distribution plan of farm inputs from the company warehouses to the farms or sponsored farmers
Executes stock transfers in the management system, International Farmers Accounting System (IFAS)
Liaise with service providers and verify invoices.
Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Logistics
A minimum of 3 years experience in a logistics and supply chain operational environment
Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) is preferable
Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and accounting systems
Excel reporting and analysis skills are essential
Skills in Accounting and reporting principals are essential
Stock and Financial System understanding is essential
Knowledge of SAP an added advantage
The Person

Must be a self starter and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
