Mixed Tour with Initial tour of duty full-time, Monday through Friday, variable schedule, hours will range between 6:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Alternate Work Schedule (AWS) is not available.
Mixed Tour Work Schedule: Mixed tour is a combination of periods of full-time, part-time, and intermittent work schedules which allows the best utilization of the employee based on the work requirements of the organization. Whenever there is a change in the workload, your work schedule may be changed to full, part-time or intermittent.
Note to current NPC employees: If you are a current NPC employee and are selected from this announcement, this selection will change your type of appointment to a Term Appointment. At the end of this Term Appointment, your employment with NPC will end. You will be required to re-compete for any permanent positions. In some cases, you may be eligible for reinstatement. Applying for Reinstatement may allow former federal employees to reenter the Federal competitive service workforce withoutcompeting with the general public.
A one-year trial period will be required.
Candidates must to clear the fingerprint process and initiate the required background investigation prior to selection.

Duties
The individual selected for this position will:
- Perform duties as timekeeper for the branch, establishing time keeping codes and assisting units with proper codes needed to charge time.
- Assist supervisors in keying time for their employees when needed; prepare, review and modify, as needed, the time entry report; maintain the time and attendance records for the branch.
- Assist employees and supervisors in preparing the document for LWOP, FMLA, request for advance sick leave, reports, donor leave programs, etc., for the branch.
- Edit and reformat electronic drafts of documents that often require graphics and tables; transmit and receive documents electronically; proofread materials to ensure conformance with office standards.
- Create elementary macros to simplify and expedite assignments and provides instructions on their use to others in the office.
- Develop training aids for use by office members and provides them with hands-on-training.
- Perform simple troubleshooting of system and/or software problems encountered by co-workers.
