Every day, our Immigration Services Analysts provide support to both the operational and administrative functions within USCIS; assist in planning a variety of management programs or activities impacting field and Service Center activities or operations; and assist in implementing management information systems that focus on long/short range plans, policies and procedures related to goals, objectives and priorities.
This position of IMMIGRATION SERVICES ANALSYT starts at a salary of $36,281 GS-05, step 01 grade level, with promotion potential to$71,467 GS-09, step 10 grade level.

The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity.

- Organize information and data into usable format. Execute pre-defined data queries; validate results, and provide draft report review. Retrieve information from systems as part of task completion.
- Apply the basic principles of project management. Prioritize own workload (set well-defined and realistic goals). Identify issues that may affect task completion deadlines and communicate with supervisor and customers any deadline revisions. Research relevant sources to gather supporting information.
- Communicate and listen to others. Apply what is learned from written materials or verbal instructions to projects or tasks. Assist in training or briefing sessions for team members or internal customers. Draft documents covering a wide array of information, from simple to complex, including operating procedures, training materials, job aids, or management reports.
- Collect relevant information that has been identified as a processing or procedural issue and is needed for reporting purposes. Retrieve information and create reports. Perform computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division correctly using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Summarize data in an appropriate format using resources and tools.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with others. Serve as a member on a team project or working on a group project.
- Provide contract oversight through quality inspections to ensure compliance with performance requirements in the contract and Statement of Work/Performance Work Statement.
