These positions are located in Pacific West Region and Pacific Islands Human Resources Office, in the Administration Division at the duty locations listed above. Please visit find a park for additional park information. These positions are Career/Career-Conditional Full-Time appointment.

This position is concurrently open under Announcement Number 10015068 for merit promotion eligibles.

Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will be paid if the selectee lives outside of the local commuting area and is otherwise eligible for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation.

Duties

At the GS-5/6 Level:
  • Performs a wide variety of standardized administrative and clerical tasks in support of two or more human resources functions, including recruitment and staffing, pay administration, employee relations, labor relations, and employee development.
  • Reviews applications to verify eligibility and qualifications, and prepares the recruitment package for further processing.
  • Receives requests for a wide variety of personnel actions, codes them, and completes required tasks associated with processing and legal approving personnel actions.
  • Answers recurring questions on policies concerning appraisal processing, leave entitlements, leave share programs, or other employee relations programs as assigned.
GS-7 Level Only:
  • Supports higher graded Human Resources Staffing Specialist in the areas of recruitment, placement, and staffing.
  • Develops job analysis and assessment documents.
  • Prepares job announcement drafts in an automated system (e.g. USAStaffing)
  • Rates and ranks applicants, and issues Certificate of Eligibles.
  • Supports complex human resources programs such as Operational Workers Compensation Program (OWCP).
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.

  • You may be expected to travel for this position.

  • Yes
  • You may qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with agency policy.
