About the Position:This position is located at: 108th Training Command (Initial Entry Training), G-1, 95TH Training Division, Fort Sill, OK. Description of the working environment: Work is performed in an office setting. Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens
Duties
The duties of this position include:
Provide administrative assistance to the Commander and Family Readiness Group Leaders
Schedule and coordinate various activities, events and training
Prepare and distribute flyers, newsletters and calendars
Develop call rosters and phone trees
Establish and maintain websites
Provide assistance to family members of military sponsors on areas of family services
Provide accurate, tactful and confidential customer service
Perform general clerical duties by receiving/routing calls, preparing correspondence and maintaining files
Travel Required
25% or Greater
The business travel requirement is 35%.

Yes
Relocation costs may be paid if the selecting official determines the relocation is in the best interests of the government.

This position requires a qualified typist of at least 40 words per minute.
This position may require an irregular work schedule.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: involves communicating with soldiers and their family members; utilizing knowledge of community resources and social service agencies to aid the family readiness program; utilizing knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to properly prepare correspondence and reports; and experience operating office equipment such as a computer, printer, fax machine, and telephone.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Ability to Communicate Orally
Ability to Communicate in Writing
Knowledge of Family Readiness or Family Program issues
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
