Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and processing 911 calls of incoming fire alarms, emergency, and non-emergency calls for fire, medical, and police assistance; 2) Dispatching emergency services to the scene of emergencies based on the capacity of the personnel and apparatus being dispatched; 3) Providing information and initiating directions to incoming callers (i.e., Cardiopulmonary resuscitation [CPR], the Heimlich maneuver, etc).

GS-06
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operating electronic computer-based systems for emergency (Police, Fire, and/or EMS) dispatching management; 2) Operating multiple equipment/systems (i.e., Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, alarm systems, dispatch recording devices, multi-channel radios) during emergency situations; and 3) Disseminating information from incoming callers during emergency situations.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Requirements:
-Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final (e.g., confidential/secret/top secret, etc.) security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
-Selectee will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
--Incumbent will be required to be certified as a [State] Telecommunicator I and II, level II [State] Access/[State System] operator, and Criteria Based Dispatch.
-Incumbent will be required to successfully complete Emergency Medical Dispatch Trainer course, NESCOM Course 3474 and all other training as assigned.
-Incumbent is required to successfully complete the (RDC) Regional Dispatcher Center Training Program to include classroom and On-The-Job Training (OJT).
-Incumbent is categorized as emergency essential, (Category 5 in accordance with CNIC 3440.17), and as such may be ordered to report to duty for extended periods under emergency conditions.
-Position may require call back/emergency overtime and assignment to first, second and third shift.
-Work is mainly sedentary and may include walking, standing, and stooping in performing the duties of the position.
-Incumbent must be able to use a computer keyboard, read information on a computer screens, clearly see images on closed circuit television.
-Have color vision adequate to distinguish between green, red, and yellow lights on alarm and equipment control panels and multi-colored computer screens.
-Must be able to write and speak English clearly and distinctly so that they are easily understood over the telephone and radio and documentation is easily readable.
-Must be able to clearly to clearly hear conversations over the phone and radio regardless of the age or sex of the caller and to distinguish between different audible alarm tones used in dispatch. May use hearing correction devices to augment their natural hearing in order to meet the requirements listed.
-Although the physical activity of this job is that of an office environment, the emergency nature of the work, the rigid time constraints for response actions, the emotional state of the persons calling for service, and the nature and consequence of the decisions the incumbent is required to make, categorize this position as one of high mental and emotional stress.
