About the Position:
This is a Maintenance Worker, WG-4749-08 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District, Little Rock Operations Division, McClellan-Kerr Project Office, located at Pine Bluff, AR.
**Note: Expected Tour of Duty will be: Monday-Thursday, 10 Hour Days. **Note: You will be required to work Overtime when needed.
This position is exclusively represented by Local 2219, IBEW, AEL-CIO.

Duties
You will perform steel repair work which involves layout, flame cutting, fitting and welding. This will include replacing cathodic protection anodes on lock & dam equipment, repair of tow haulage equipment, replacement of handrails, repair of gratings, mooring cells, heavy equipment & barge deck equipment. Perform mechanical repairs/service to diesel/gasoline engines, chainsaws, pumps, backhoes, dozers, hydraulic pumps, miter gate operating equipment, tainter gate hoisting equipment, sandblasters, air compressors and grease guns. You will use carpentry and cement mason tools to repair damaged concrete, construct storage bins, boxes, mats for crane and scaffold floor surfaces. Clean metal surfaces for painting, operate vehicles and equipment to include forklifts, backhoes, front end loaders, bulldozers and light trucks. Assist higher graded employees in major repairs/modifications which involve critical welding, cutting or specialized knowledge of operation/repair procedures required.
