The American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) created ahcancalED to increase access to education and information for members in the form of documents, webinars, videos, presentations, and more. The online education portal hosts educational materials tailored specifically for long term and post-acute care professionals.

Materials include courses, training, and resources to help with quality improvement efforts, resources shared by providers around the country, detailed education on the Requirements of Participation (ROPs), information about how to become involved in advocacy efforts, content from Provider magazine, and much more.

A special section in ahcancalED called RequirED is a library of tools and resources to help members navigate the ROPs. It contains an array of materials divided into actions briefs, tools, and webinars.

So where should you begin? The “Starting Somewhere” document in RequirED is a valuable resource that provides strategies and tips on how to get started in creating success around the ROPs. Other key resources include definitions, as well as a webinar providing a high-level overview of the ROPs.
