The National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) leads the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the nation's physical and cyber infrastructure. Learn more about NPPD.
Joining the Federal Protective Service (FPS) means protecting and delivering integrated law enforcement and protection services to our national critical infrastructure of federal facilities. In this position, you would be responsible for processing procurement documents for acquisition programs.

Duties
Major Duties of the GS-12 full performance potential include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manages program or project schedules, milestones, scopes, quality controls, risk, issues, communication management, and budgets from preliminary stages through design, development, operation and de-commission/close-out as needed.
- Monitors resources and interim milestones to ensure consistency with scheduled work and monitoring/measuring performance (earned value, metrics, and other project management performance methods), in order to assure commitments of all parties are maintained.
- Coordinates or administers all phases of assigned contracts from inception to completion including identifying what is needed to accomplish program mission requirements.
- Develops and coordinates the completion of contract-related Management Decision Documents, Contract Scopes of Work, Evaluation Plans, Independent Government Estimates (IGCE's), Technical Evaluation criteria and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, Market Research Reports and other procurement documents for acquisition programs.
- Prepares and presents formal and informal presentations pertaining to projects/programs to Project Managers, mid- and senior-level management, and maintaining liaison with counterparts at higher levels (regional, Headquarters), on policy and program issues.
