The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the Fort Meade Commuting Area. Commuting area means: Washington Local Commuting Area: District of Columbia; Maryland: Counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Mary's and Washington; Virginia: Counties of Albermarle, Arlington, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Greene, King George, Loudoun, Madison, Orange, Prince William, Spotsylvania, and Stafford; Pennsylvania: County of Adams.

Duties

1. Receives children, youth, parents, and other visitors in a courteous manner.
2. Answers telephones, ascertains nature of call and directs caller to appropriate staff, takes a message or personally provides desired information.
3. Utilizes an electronic cash register system and calculator to compute and record individual transactions for customers and enters data into predefined categories for regulatory signed statistical reports and tracking of income data as it pertains to the CYS program as required.
4. Provides administrative support including typing/word processing, mail preparation, copying, distribution, telephone calls, and maintains records, files, and statistical data.
5. Coordinates vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required and ensures risk management procedures (i.e., abuse prevention, identification, and reporting procedures; accident prevention, etc.) are followed.
